All he needs to do is to make sure there is some bluebird activity in the yard.

This is one hard bluebird working daddy.

Mom seems to observe more than she feeds.

The babies must be sleeping so the parents are taking a little line break.
He's back at it.

She is watching from the top of the clothesline pole.

He found the mealworms.

He finally gets time for a little sunning.

The mealworms are a hit with everyone,

Last pic of the babies before they fledged.  My neighbor Jan texted and said one of the babies had gotten in their garage but Poppa was there with a watchful eye.

I will miss them but I know there will be more.

Sleeping soundly!

This is my creative shot through the hole of the bluebird box.  They didn't even know I was there.

Another Look At Our Bluebird Babies

I'm just guessing on this but I think they might be preemies.  According to my calculations, they weren't due until around 15th.  I must have my numbers all wrong.  But who cares we have babies.

Mom and Dad are doing fine.  With Mark's help, I used an old metal tractor seat as a birdfeeder perch right on the opposite side under the bluebird box so they wouldn't have to go far and be off the babies for very long.  I even put mealworms in it for them.  I love my bluebirds.

We Have Babies!

One egg on day 1.

Two eggs on day 2.

Three eggs on day 3.

Four eggs on day 4.

I checked the next two days for eggs.  Four eggs are our clutch this time around.  So now we wait until around the 15th of the month to see if there are any babies.  I have been watching  Mom and Dad take turns going into the box and I assume they are taking turns keeping them warm.  We shall see.

Bluebird Eggs...Yes!
