This morning I am feeling the effects of spring allergies. I have a sinus headache from the bridge of my nose to the small of my back... and the squeakiest voice on the planet...but I love spring!Seems something new comes up every morning. Today I found these little purple flowers. The look like Siberian iris but I don' think they are. The yellow and purple are so vivid. I am so thankful for the first owners of this house. He was an avid gardener. The people who owned the house before us...not so much. It is so fun to be surprised each spring at what comes up. A rebirth of sorts every year. We have been able to add little bits here and there. This year might be the year of only maintenance and clean-up. I don't care...its Spring!

New Life

. Monday, March 15, 2010 .

Last week when Allyson and I were swinging on the porch this poor old dried up clematis vine looked so bad. I had my doubts that it would ever green up. The today while waiting on the dog I notice just a tab bit of green and a little 'peach fuzz' at the base of the bud. Spring always amazed me. The same as God always amazes me. We are sorta like that clematis vine. In the winter of our life, we start out all dried up with no direction. Then spring comes and fills us with life and we bloom all over the place. Then hard times hit and we sometimes revert back to our old selves. We have our ups and downs just like this clematis vine. We may not feel God's presence in our lives all the time but He is always thre nudging us forward to the things He would have us do.
